As his precarious economic situation and lack of professional prospects overwhelmed him, the ascension of Nazism and the economic collapse caused him to leave Germany behind forever. During this period, he quickly wrote some of his most lucid and brilliant works. This book seeks to outline the reasons he went to Ibiza and describe his days there.<p/><br></br><p><b> About the Author </b></p></br></br><b>Vicente Valero</b> is a poet and author of six collections, and winner of the prestigious Loewe Prize. In 2015 he published <i>Canción del distraído</i>, an anthology of his work. He has also written the novels <i>Los extraños, El </i><i>arte</i><i> de la </i><i>fuga</i>, and <i>Las </i><i>transiciones</i>.
