She has received much recognition for her poetry, including a Pushcart Prize, a Discovery award from <i>The Nation</i>, and inclusion in <i>Best American Poetry</i>. Educated at Wellesley College and the University of Virginia, Vazirani serves as an advisory editor for <i>Callaloo</i>.<p>
