The book covers both the political and military dimensions. Naval and air operations dominate the military aspects. Initially the book was a best-seller in the limited Australian market but is now largely unobtainable.<p/><br></br><p><b> About the Author </b></p></br></br>Michael O'Connor is a former district officer in Papua New Guinea and Australian naval intelligence officer. He has written extensively on politico-military matters and is the author of four books and many conference papers, journal articles and newspaper columns.
