He studied Hispanic literature in his native city, and then studied European intellectual history in Toronto. Tempted by silence, he is the author of a short, highly concentrated body of work. His films include <i>L'origine de la tendresse</i>, <i>Évidences</i> and <i>L'adoption</i>.</p>
