Quilter Virginia Hammon created an English paper pieced quilt with over 8,000 hand sewn seams and hundreds of different fabrics---all purchased and cut to show off various aspects of commerce and our money system. The quilt design was inspired by the Passacaglia pattern in Willyne Hammerstein's book, Millefiori, published by Quilt Mania. This quilt has 49 'wheels.' Each wheel is presented with a few bits of information about commerce and money, inspired by the fabrics in the wheel.</p>
