She obtained her doctorate from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology in Trondheim and has held positions at the Humboldt-Universität in Berlin and Maastricht University. Her publications include articles in the <em>International Handbook of Museum Studies</em> and <em>WerkstattGeschichte</em>.</p>
