It has been nearly 20 years, and she has never stopped writing since. In November 2016 Yasdnil was severely beaten leaving her with a traumatic brain injury. She was in a coma for 11 months and rehabilitation until Oct 30, 2020. Her dream has been to publish a book of poetry and an autobiography. She is now an advocate for domestic violence and looks forward to writing more for her readers.
