Great for preparing in your pressure cooker, slow cooker or oven but specifically created for electric pressure cookers, this carnitas cooking sauce is ideal for using the entire 15.5-ounce jar with a three-pound pork shoulder roast. No matter which way you're preparing your carnitas, you can simply cut the roast into about eight pieces and combine with this carnitas cooking sauce before cooking to completion. When fully cooked, just remove roast from sauce and shred, discarding the fat, before returning the meat to the sauce and enjoying with tortillas or rice and your favorite toppings.<br /><br />Directions for Slow Cooker<br /> What You Need<br /> 3-lb. pork shoulder roast<br /> <br /> What You Do<br /> 1. CUT roast into about 8 pieces.<br /> 2. ADD roast and contents of jar to 6-qt. slow cooker. <br /> 3. COVER and cook on HIGH for 5 hours or until roast is fully cooked and easy to shred<br /> 4.
