<p/><br></br><p><b> Book Synopsis </b></p></br></br><p>This book catalogues (with extensive photography) 107 pieces from <em>The Alastair Leslie Collection: Eighteenth Century West Pans Porcelain from c.1764-77</em>. </p><p><br></p><p>Archaeological and documentary research both confirm that William Littler (1724 - 1784) was producing soft paste porcelain and creamware at West Pans, in Scotland, between c.1764 and 1777. This was <em>after </em> his previous porcelain venture at Longton Hall, Staffordshire, ended with his bankruptcy in 1760. </p>
