In 2010, she co-founded Quince & Company, a hand-knitting yarn and knitwear design company, with an historic spinning mill in Maine. She is the author of <i>Knitting for Dummies </i>(John Wiley & Sons, 2002), <i>Scarf Style</i> (Interweave Press, 2004), <i>Home: 18 Knittable Projects to Keep You Comfy</i> (Quince & Co, 2014), and <i>Plain & Simple: 11 Knits to Wear Every Day</i> (Quince & Co, 2018).
