He has devoted much of the past decade to collaborating with socially conscious corporations, UN agencies, foundations, and NGOs to document global health and women's human-rights issues. Mark's photography has received widespread recognition, including the Global Health Council Photographer of the Year in 2010, and the Grand Prize of the Management Sciences for Health/Social Documentary.net photo competition in 2014. Mark lives with his wife, Jana, in Menlo Park, California.
